The MIMI 120 incorporates Kino Flo's innovative and patented MatchmakkerTM technology, which addresses the challenges inherent in lighting with LED volumes by translating an incoming RGB video signal into five individual emitters (warm white, cool white, red, green, and blue) to generate synchronized full-spectrum front lighting for maximum realism on set.

Exceptional brightness. Properly illuminating foregrounds relative to backgrounds in a space requires the level of illumination MIMIK was designed to provide. Conventional LED screens typically produce between 800 and 1,200 nits. By comparison, MIMIK achieves 10,000 nits.

Its capabilities extend beyond direct foreground illumination via video stream, while covering the entire light spectrum. It can record up to 900 frames per second and offer up to 30 alpha channels at 30 frames per second.

Powered by the Megapixel VR HELIOS LED processor, the MIMIK 120 offers unprecedented control flexibility on set, via the Helios processor or by assigning certain functions to the lighting console. This resolves coordination problems between VFX and lighting teams on set.

Latency-free synchronization with an LED volume, thus expanding real-time and post-production possibilities. Lighting departments can also control parameters such as dimming, positioning, and color.
